What is a Postpartum Doula?

The early days of child rearing can be overwhelming and stressful. My role in your postpartum support is to ensure you feel cared for and supported through this transition by helping you get the rest you need, providing screenings for postpartum anxiety and depression, and providing evidence based education around infant feeding, soothing techniques, newborn care, and more!

What are the benefits of a Postpartum Doula?

Studies have shown that mothers who receive support from a postpartum doula are less likely to experience postpartum depression or anxiety, are able to rest more and may recover faster. I provide valuable support and guidance during a time of transition and adjustment for new mothers and their families.

When should I hire a Postpartum Doula and what can I expect?

It's best to hire a Postpartum Doula before the baby is born so that you can begin building a relationship and planning for postpartum support. However, it's never too late to hire a Postpartum Doula - they can provide valuable support and guidance at any point during the postpartum period.

If we decide we are a good fit for each other, I will send over my contract and an invoice. Once the retainer fee is paid and the contract is signed, your dates are locked in for you! We will schedule an in person meeting to create your personalized post birth plan.
